Do you want your child to have fun in the summer holidays while improving their English skills in an exciting and hands-on way? Then our English Summer Day Camp in Jena is the perfect choice! Set amidst the green surroundings of the Waldorf School Jena, we offer a unique experience where learning English and having fun go hand in hand.

Full English Immersion Experience

All our English Camps in Thuringia offer a week of full English immersion, where children are immersed in the English language all day long. During the morning project- and play-based English lessons, our campers are taught by native-speaking, pedagogically trained teachers. It’s not just about memorizing vocabulary – English comes to life through creative projects and interactive games!

Diverse Summer Camp Activities Each Afternoon

The afternoon is filled with action and creativity! Each day, we offer three exciting activities for our campers. These include archery, baseball, lacrosse, origami, tie-dye, and beaded jewelry making. These activities not only enhance English language skills but also promote teamwork, focus, and creativity.

Excursions to Exciting Destinations

Another highlight of our camp is our weekly excursion to special destinations that expand language learning in a playful way. Whether it’s a visit to the zoo, a day at the swimming pool, a movie theater experience in English, or a round of mini-golf – these excursions add extra fun and variety!

Professional Supervision and a Safe Environment

The safety and well-being of the children are our top priorities. With a supervision ratio of 1:8, we ensure that every child receives individual attention. Our qualified, native-speaking counselors from various countries ensure that your child feels completely comfortable and is always well taken care of. If there are any questions or concerns, the counselors are always available.

Waldorf School Jena – The Perfect Location for Our Camp

Our new English camp takes place at the beautiful Waldorf School Jena, which is equipped with modern classrooms, spacious green areas, and an outdoor sports court. The location is ideal – just a few minutes from the A4 motorway exit and only a 12-minute walk from the Jena-Göschwitz train station. Several local bus routes also stop nearby.

Meals and Special Needs

Of course, we also take care of your child’s meals: we provide hot lunches every day. If your child has special dietary needs or allergies, you can inform us during the check-in process after booking, and we will adjust the meals accordingly.

• Duration: June 30th – July 11 (Monday to Friday) bookable by the week!
• Times: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM – half-day programs also available

• Program: Morning English lessons, afternoon summer camp activities
• Supervision: 1 native English-speaking counselor for every 8 children

Stuart Taines hat an der University of California in Berkeley einen Abschluss in englischer Literatur gemacht. Anschließend erwarb er seine Lehrbefähigung sowohl für den Grundschulunterricht (K-6) als auch für Englisch als Zweitsprache (K-12). In Kombination mit seiner langjährigen Tätigkeit als Leiter von Sommercamps für den YMCA in Sonoma County und für die University of California Science and Sports Camps gründete Stuart Taines 2011 min seinder Frau, Sarah, die Kids Camp America GmbH in Deutschland und organisiert seither Englischcamps für tausende zufriedene Familien in ganz Deutschland.
