English Summer Camp in Freiburg 2027 (Day Camp)

Our Teen Summer Camp in Freiburg offers teens a complete week of English immersion, running daily from 9 am to 5 pm. Each day, students take part in morning English lessons tailored to small groups divided by age, with three hours of structured, engaging instruction led by native English-speaking teachers and counselors. In the afternoons, campers put their English into practice through a fun mix of activities, adventures, and outings around Freiburg and the surrounding Black Forest.

The program includes exciting experiences such as playing mini golf, exploring the river, hiking in the Black Forest, swimming at the local aquatic center, discovering Freiburg’s city center, and tackling an escape room. These activities give teens plenty of opportunities to socialize, explore the area, and use English naturally outside the classroom.

Students receive close guidance throughout the week, ensuring a supportive and engaging learning environment. Each participant also receives a KCA Sports Bag, name tag, and certificate of completion to celebrate their hard work, with all materials and lunch included in the camp price. Parents can feel confident knowing that warm, catered lunches are provided each day as part of an all-inclusive camp fee with no hidden costs.

International Youth Hostel Freiburg

Our Freiburg campers stay at the International Youth Hostel Freiburg, located in the eastern part of the city on the edge of the Black Forest. Surrounded by greenery and a beautiful landscape conservation area, the hostel provides the perfect base for an active week of English, adventure, and exploring Freiburg.

The hostel offers comfortable shared accommodation, with most campers staying in spacious four-bed rooms. With 350 beds across 102 rooms, it is well equipped for groups and provides plenty of space for campers to relax and socialize after a busy day. Facilities include a games room, children’s playground, sports areas, and other recreational spaces. Cycle paths and hiking opportunities begin right outside the hostel, making it an especially convenient location for our outdoor activities.

Although surrounded by nature, the hostel is also conveniently connected to Freiburg’s city center, which is approximately 3.5 km away. This gives our campers the best of both worlds: easy access to the historic city of Freiburg as well as the beautiful Black Forest countryside.

Your qualified counselors are native speakers from various countries, ensuring you have a carefree holiday and are well taken care of at all times. They also serve as your English teachers, giving you a consistent point of contact throughout the week. You can approach them anytime with questions or concerns. This camp maintains a supervision ratio of 1:8.

Our whole-day program runs 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday.

Please  note that there is no parking at or near the youth hostel! Parking is available at the nearby parking garage “Parkhaus Alt-Sachsenhausen”.

The hostel is easily accessible by public transportation:
From the main train station, take the U4 towards Seckbacher Landstraße or the U5 towards Preungesheim to Konstablerwache/Zeil; both take around 5 minutes.

From the subway station, go up to the bus and tram station and take Bus 30/M36 towards Hainer Weg. Ride to Elisabethenstraße, which takes about 2 minutes.

Cross the street and walk back towards the Main River. Turn right at the intersection and walk to the youth hostel (2 minutes).

Alternatively, from Konstablerwache/Zeil, take tram line 18 towards Louisa Bahnhof to Frankensteiner Platz. Walk left along the Main River to the youth hostel (2 minutes).

We offer travel insurance which can be purchased at the time of booking. This insurance provides protection against financial burdens from illness or injuries that may occur before or during camp and can also cover (depending on the plan) loss or damage to personal belongings. It additionally supports early departure due to unforeseen events. Travel insurance gives you peace of mind that you are well-protected at camp and can enjoy your time worry-free.
