English Overnight Camp on the Edersee during the Spring (Easter) Vacations

KCA’s English Overnight Camp in Waldeck at the Edersee combines nature and adventure with English learning. Our sleepaway facilities are right next to the edge of Germany’s second-largest lake, and we go hiking to the nearby ropes course, swimming or stand-up paddle boarding in the lake, head off to the Adventure Golf course, and much more. Our afternoon excursions are dedicated to exploration and water sports. Of course, mornings are dedicated to English learning in comfortable seminar rooms led by our experienced native English teachers. True to the motto “Learning by Doing,” at KCA we speak English not only during the three hours of lessons but also throughout our daily activities and excursions. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to apply your new language skills practically and learn more about the cultures of your native-speaking counselors. Together, you’ll spend an exciting time filled with action and fun. In addition to fun games and sports activities like Bubble Football, Stand-Up Paddleboarding, Archery, or a GPS tour, we also plan fun excursions. You’ll explore the dam and Waldeck Castle together, or visit the High Ropes Course. A further highlight is the ferry and mountain railway rides. Edersee truly has a lot to offer!

Your counselors have also planned varied activities for the evening hours. You can look forward to different themed evenings full of fun activities. You’ll have the chance to compete in a huge variety of games during Games Night, or test your luck during a Bingo Night. A cozy evening by the campfire with s’mores is, of course, a must at any English camp! Additionally, there will be a relaxed movie night and an exciting night hike. After this eventful and educational English camp, you’ll go home with improved English, fond memories, and new friendships.

The unique location of the Waldeck Youth Hostel on the northern shore of the Edersee has captivated many visitors. Surrounded by the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park and the national park of the same name on the southern shore, with Waldeck Castle towering above, the Edersee and its surroundings are an attractive and well-known recreational area.

This family-friendly hostel offers beautiful views of the Edersee and comfortable six-person rooms. Classes are held in the spacious seminar rooms. Outdoors, guests can enjoy soccer, beach volleyball, table tennis, barbecuing, or sitting around the campfire. The beach area at Edersee, with opportunities for swimming, stand-up paddling, and sailing, is within walking distance.

You will be provided with delicious full-board meals. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner: both lunch and dinner are warm meals.

Your qualified counselors are native speakers from various countries, ensuring you have a carefree holiday and are well taken care of at all times. They also serve as your English teachers, giving you a consistent point of contact throughout the week. You can approach them anytime with questions or concerns.

Please note: A welcome ceremony takes place every Sunday at 16:30 PM, and a closing/certificate ceremony is held every Saturday at 10:00 AM. Please ensure you arrive on time to secure a parking spot.
