KCA’s English Family Summer Camps are a unique experience for the whole family. Learn English, enjoy activities, or simply relax – it’s all flexible and tailored just for you.

Camp overview:

One week of English immersion (6 nights/7 days)
Morning English lessons in the morning for parents and children
Daily afternoon excursions and activities (e.g. discgolf, canoeing, archery)
Evening-theme activities like campfires and s’mores, night walks, and bingo nights
Childcare available from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Small learning groups

KCA’s English Family Camp is a great way for the whole family to bond, learn, and practice English together. Our camps are led by English native-speaking teachers so each and every minute of the week is filled with the English language. Every morning kids and parents attend their own English lessons. Then Mom and Dad have the option to relax or explore the lake and its surrounding areas. In the afternoon everyone joins up for activities which include – canoeing, archery, sailing, swimming, SUPs, hiking and lots more. Of course, parents can take the afternoons off as well if they wish! Our evening program is a great way to bond with other families during our theme nights. Play board games and use our Wii during Games Night, watch an English movie during our Film Night, or go on a night-time walk during our Flashlight Walk.

Jugendherberge Resort Neuharlingersiel

Located in the beautiful Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park off the East Frisian Islands, families at our camp stay in modern family apartments complete with en-suite bathroom and TV. The resort is just a few minutes from the sandy beach and the charming fishing village of Neuharlingersiel and offers great facilities. While the kids enjoy the completely redesigned “Kinnerhus” with soccer court, climbing wall, Lego construction site and much more, parents can relax in the sauna, make use of the fitness facilities or enjoy some East Frisian tee in the hostel’s “Seecafé”. Teenagers have their own space with “chill-out” area, band equipment, darts and table football.
English lessons are held in spacious, well equiped seminar rooms.

The Lower Saxon Wadden Sea National Park was established in 1986 and awarded UNESCO World Heritage Site status in 2009. It embraces the East Frisian Islands, mudflats and salt marshes between the Bay of Dollart on the border with the Netherlands in the west and Cuxhaven as far as the Outer Elbe shipping channel in the east.

We provide full board, which includes a hearty breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet, as well as coffee and cake in the afternoon. All soft drinks are free throughout the day.

If you have any allergies or special dietary requirements, please let us know at least two weeks before the camp starts!

Our staff consists of native speakers from various English-speaking countries (England, USA, Canada, South Africa, etc.). They ensure that you have an unforgettable holiday experience and are well taken care of at all times.

Arrival: Sundays at 3:00 PM
Departure: Saturdays at 10:00 AM

Please note: A welcome ceremony is held every Sunday at 3:30 PM, and a closing/certificate ceremony takes place every Saturday at 10:00 AM.

The youth hostel does not offer on-site parking. After unloading, please park along the road above the youth hostel.
