English Family Camp
KCA is proud to announce our first English family camp – a great way for the whole family to bond, learn and practice English. Our camps are led by English native speaking teachers so each and every minute of the week is filled with the English language. Every morning the kids attend English lessons and the parents have the option to relax, explore the lake and its surrounding areas or book private/group English lessons with our teachers. In the afternoon everyone joins up for activities which include – canoeing, archery, GPS treasure hunts, bubble football, swimming in the lake and more. Of course, parents can take the afternoons off as well if they wish! Our evening program is a great way to bond with other families during our theme night. Play board-games and use our Wii during Games Night, watch an English movie during our Film Night, or go on a night-time walk during our Flashlight Walk. Families can choose between two options – a fully inclusive option which includes English lessons for the parents and every afternoon excursion for the whole family. Alternatively families can choose our a-la-carte option which allows parents to book English lessons if they want and select which afternoon excursions they want to join!

Jugendherberge Hohe Fahrt am Edersee
Located on the beautiful Edersee, just next door to the enormous Kellerwald Nature Reserve, families at our camp stay in cozy four-bed huts near the edge of the lake. English lessons are held in spacious seminar rooms and the families meet up in the dining area of the main building for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The hostel’s vast grounds offer plenty of opportunities for sports and games, especially those to do with water: swimming, paddling, windsurfing, diving or sailing. For land lovers, there are football pitches, volleyball and streetball fields. The Kellerwald-Edersee National Park – an ancient beech forest which was awarded the status of UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011 – offers a manifold of opportunities for hiking, water sports and tourist attractions.
