Whether your child is joining an English camp for the first time or already has camp experience, Kids Camp America puts real-life English communication at the heart of the experience. Our camps are designed so that children and teenagers don’t just learn English in the classroom – they use it naturally throughout the day.

Kids Camp America – English Learning Made Fun

Kids Camp America was founded in Frankfurt in 2011 and has been running successful English camps for children and teenagers across Germany for many years. Our experience from countless camp weeks goes into every program we create.

Our approach combines English lessons, sports, games, creativity, and shared experiences. Lessons are led by experienced, qualified English teachers and native speakers. In small, age-appropriate groups, campers have plenty of opportunities to speak, ask questions, and put their English skills into practice.

But campers don’t spend the whole day in a classroom. English becomes part of the entire camp experience – during sports, games, excursions, team challenges, and time spent together with other campers.

Two Camp Options – Find the Right Experience

In Leipzig, families can choose between two different camp formats: our English Day Camp and our English Overnight Camp.

Our Leipzig English Day Camp runs from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Children spend the day with their camp group and return home in the afternoon. Each day combines English lessons with games, sports, creative activities, and excursions. It’s ideal for children who want to experience an English-speaking camp environment but prefer to sleep at home.

Our Leipzig English Overnight Camp offers the full summer-camp experience. Campers stay together at the youth hostel and enjoy English lessons, daytime activities, and classic camp experiences in the evenings. Campfires, games, movie nights, discos, and plenty of time with new friends make the Overnight Camp a truly special experience.

Week 1: Discover Leipzig

During the first camp week, the focus is on Leipzig City Adventure. Our camp is based at Jugendherberge Leipzig, providing an ideal starting point for discovering the city.

Depending on the weekly program, campers may visit Zoo Leipzig, explore the historic city center, play laser tag, take on an escape room, or discover other exciting attractions and parks.

The city itself becomes part of the learning experience. English lessons and exciting excursions come together to create a varied and memorable camp week.

Weeks 2–6: Outdoor Adventure at Markkleeberger See

From Week 2 onwards, our camps move to Markkleeberg, directly beside the beautiful Markkleeberger See. The new Jugendherberge Markkleeberg provides an ideal setting for an active summer filled with nature, sports, and adventure.

Outdoor activities take center stage here. Depending on the program, campers may swim, canoe, kayak, try stand-up paddleboarding, cycle, hike, climb, and take part in beach games and team challenges. The nearby Kanupark Markkleeberg provides even more opportunities for exciting water-based activities.

The natural surroundings give campers plenty of space to stay active, try new things, and enjoy shared adventures as a group.

English That Comes to Life

What makes our camps special is the combination of high-quality English instruction and a genuine summer-camp experience. Campers learn in small groups and are placed according to their age and English level. This allows our teachers to respond to each group’s needs and create engaging, appropriate lessons.

At the same time, campers hear and speak English throughout the day. Our native English-speaking teachers and counselors create an environment where English becomes a natural way to communicate.

The goal isn’t simply to learn new vocabulary. We want campers to build confidence speaking English, develop a genuine enjoyment of the language, and discover how English can open the door to new experiences.
