6 years in Freiburg!
KCA had its first English camp in Freiburg im Breisgau, Baden-Württemberg in 2017 and since then hundreds of children from Freiburg and around the world have attended our camps in this beautiful German city. Our English Summer Overnight Camp is our largest – with up to 50 teens per week attending during the summer holidays! Freiburg is a wonderful city to host our English camps – the city itself has a very international population and every year kids from all over the world come together at KCA and learn that English is an international language and with it, you can speak to almost anyone.

We founded our first English camp in Frankfurt, Germany, but quickly spread our camps throughout Germany. Freiburg im Breisgau, was a natural choice, and with our location directly on the Black Forest and the river Dreiesam it was almost immediately a huge success. As our Overnight English Summer Camp grew, we added an English Summer Day Camp, and soon, an English Overnight Pfingsten Camp and an English Overnight Spring Camp. English Overnight Summer Camps for children and teens aged 9 – 16 in Freiburg im Breisgau, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
Our English Summer Overnight Camp in Freiburg is one of the best city camps we have. Of course, we offer an English Overnight Pfingsten Camp, and an English Overnight Spring Camp. Our campers stay at the International Youth Hostel in Freiburg, ⁣ one of the city’s most beautiful locations. Settled near the river, and the black forest, our campers can enjoy their morning English lessons, followed by excursions throughout the city and natural locations each afternoon. We explore the many parks, museums, English movie theaters, and historic attractions that the city provides. Of course, we speak English the whole day, and in the evening have fun theme nights like Bingo Night, Disco Night, Games Night, and more. Our overnight campers tell us that by the end of the week, they are thinking and nearly dreaming in English. Six days and seven nights at a KCA English camp fully immerse them into the language, and they make a positive connection with English, new friends, and of course great memories that will last them a lifetime.

Our English Day Camps in Freiburg are very popular. We offer an English Summer Camp a Pfinsgten Camp, ⁣ and a Spring Camp each year in Freiburg where kids can spend the whole day learning and playing in English. Designed for children aged 9 – 16, we offer a full day of English immersion. We seek out the best, qualified teachers to lead our fun, and engaging English lessons each morning. We provide a catered hot lunch at each of our Day Camps and following lunch, go on great excursions each day to exciting locations around Freiburg. These include the swim center, the escape room, mini-golf, the zoo, the lake, the planetarium, and more! Of course, we only speak English the whole day and encourage our campers to speak English as well through our KCA Bucks. When our teachers “catch” our campers speaking English, they receive KCA bucks, with which they can then “buy” sweeties at the end of the day.  At the end of each week, we hold our certificate ceremony where our campers perform their theater skits, and their news reports about the week, and receive their KCA certificate for attending the best English camp in Freiburg! The best part about our camps is seeing our returning campers come back to KCA over and over again.
