Drop-off and Pick-up Times
Camp hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for All Day Campers.

Only campers who have registered for extended care may be on campus before 9:00 AM or after 5:00 PM. All campers who are not registered for extended care and are on campus outside of regular hours must pay €10 per session.

Please note that extended care is not available for all camps!

What to Bring
Water is available throughout the day. Please send your child with a refillable water bottle.

Also pack two snacks—one for the morning and one for the afternoon. All All Day and Morning Only campers receive a hot lunch.

Since we go outside even in light rain, all children should bring waterproof shoes and a rain jacket if the weather is bad. For hot days, we recommend bringing a sunhat and sunscreen.

Closing Ceremony
Every Friday at 4:30 PM, we hold our closing ceremony. Parents are warmly invited to attend. Each group presents a short play or the camp newspaper created in the journalism club. Songs are sung, and each child receives a certificate.

Lost and Found
Every summer, many items are left behind at camp. Please label everything your child brings and check their bag when picking them up. If anything is missing, ask the director about the lost and found box.

Camp Behavior

At Kids Camp America, we value spending the camp week as a team. Therefore, we encourage all participants to develop and follow these traits: principled, open-minded, caring, appreciative, cooperative, enthusiastic, respectful, and tolerant.

Camper Expectations

  • Show respect to all team members: classmates, teachers, parents, and youth hostel staff
  • Take care of other people’s property
  • Behave calmly indoors and do not run
  • Follow the classroom rules
  • Be ready to learn and participate actively
  • Take responsibility for your actions
  • Follow the teachers’ instructions
  • Be respectful and helpful

Classroom Rules
Each group creates a list of classroom rules on the first day under the guidance of the teacher. These rules are signed by the students and the teacher and are displayed prominently in the classroom. When making these agreements, the children’s ideas are considered just as much as the expectations of the supervisors. Unacceptable behavior is discussed with the children.

Communication with Campers
